Very exciting!

The boy can walk!!! Our amazing little man Reason has started to walk. Yes, he looks like a drunken sailor while doing it, but nevertheless, he's walking.

Been a while

So, I've been slacking on the updates. Work and the boy seem to be eating up all our time. Nevertheless everybody is doing well and enjoying life..........

San Francisco Trip

Well,  we got back from our vacation to San Francisco.  We all had a blast and wish we didn't have to come back to muggy old Houston.

The boy is crawling

Reason started crawling a few days ago. He hasn't quite figured out how to get his knees under him, so he resorts to an Army/Zombie crawl.

Sailing Trip

This past weekend Carie, Reason, Carla and our friends Nick and Courtney went out with the old man and I to do some sailing. It was a very nice sail. Even though yours truly was hurling his guts out.

The munchkin did OK. Yet I don't think he was having that great of a time. He was stuck in this infant lifevest that was obviously not fun for him. I think we will hold off on taking him out again til we can find a more comfortable lifevest, or he grows into this one a little bit more.

End of an era

As my wonderful mother put it, "It's the end of an era."

The cat that I've had since I was 9 has finally passed. This is the same cat that has lived with me in Houston, Lake Jackson, Dallas, Miami, San Francisco, Phoenix, Austin, Arlington VA, and finally Houston again. His name was Augustus. He was much loved and loved much.

He died at the amazing age of 20.
